Self Appointed Pet Czar!!!!

"On the other hand, it will be equally
forgotten that the vigor of government is essential to the security
of liberty; that, in the contemplation of a sound and well-informed
judgment, their interest can never be separated; and that a
dangerous ambition more often lurks behind the specious mask of zeal
for the rights of the people
than under the forbidden appearance of
zeal for the firmness and efficiency of government. History will
teach us that the former has been found a much more certain road to
the introduction of despotism than the latter
, and that of those men
who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number
 have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people;
 commencing demagogues, and ending tyrants."

I think we are on the path to a despotic government.   Everything coming out of any Poli-Trickster's mouth these days is what they can "Give" to the people.  And the sheep seem more than willing to hand over more and more of their rights to the Government.  I wouldn't have a problem with this except when they hand over their rights, they are handing over my liberties too.

What rights have you lost?  Does your copy of the constitution have lines drawn through parts of it?   Mine doesn't.

the more power we give to the government, the less we as individuals have.  I'm tired of womb to tomb care from my government.  Provide me a military, police force and interstates.  That is about it.

That was nonsense then as it is now.

Am I going to have to correct all of your post?

Don't you understand that the majority of sheeple in this country can't live without being told what to do?

I personally can't wait on the TP bill to pass. In essence it defines what type of toilet paper you can use on any given day.

It won't matter when the TP bill passes, you and people like you won't use TP anyway.

You don't have womb to tomb care from the government.   Not even close.

Depending on where you live in the USA, the overall tax burden may well be lower in Denmark, Sweden or the UK.  You know..places that actually DO have womb to tomb care from the government.
http://www.photius.com/rankings/tax_burden_country_ranks_2009.html

Why? We spend our tax dollars fighting pointless wars.  They spend theirs providing services to their citizens.  They can afford to since we're picking up the full cost of playing World Cop.

Your answer to that is to take away the relatively few benefits we do provide our own?    Third-world country FTW!

On one hand you argue that people are fat lazy slobs and on the other you want them to have more power.  Hmmm....Isn't that what we have now- fat lazy slobs with too much power?
